The work was inspired by the notion of passing time in relation to a continuous repetitive action - waiters reading menus to customers.The work was developed after spending six month working at Babur, a South East Indian Restaurant in London.
The menu content was adapted into a fictional encounter between Isolde and Tristan, the tragic love duo of Wagner, ree-inforcing the trgic repitition.
The waiters like Antonioni´s female characters, find no resolution in their actions, only repetition.
